home based business accounting software

By Tony Alverio

home based business accounting software
QuickBooks or Simply Accounting?

I am trying to choose an accounting software for my company very small (it's an online store, but I also sell products outside of my home and at shows). We have no employees, and are based in Canada. What software would you choose? What are the advantages and disadvantages? What is the easiest to use? Thank you for your help! Are there any other accounting software I should consider? Do I need hire an accountant?

~ ~ I used two large QuickBooks and Peach Tree. QuickBooks is by far the most advanced, yet simple to use. The aid program they have is impressive for the development and problems coming up in May during use. Otherwise all is as simple as running a checkbook. You can keep your stock before, get the software to scan bar, has options to pay, and may even do your taxes if your business is not too involved. There are several different versions, we use QuickBooks Pro Edition Contractors. It is awesome. Satisfy all our needs. Go to www.intuit.com and you can easily see how it works, and compare accounting software that would suit your needs. Good luck in your new business! ~ ~

Guerrilla Marketing for the Home-Based Business Guerrilla Marketing for the Home-Based Business
$3.98

American business is in the midst of cataclysmic change. Corporations, re-engineering themselves to compete in the new global marketplace, lay off millions of employees, then outsource the services they performed, often to the former employees themselves. Disillusioned employees are voluntarily leaving the corporate nest in record numbers to set up small businesses of their own. Technological advances make these tiny operations not only competitive but often the optimal provider of services for the next century. These forces have led to an exponential growth of home-based businesses. Generally, these new entrepreneurs already possess the skills necessary to bring their products and services to life. What most lack is practical knowledge of how to position and market themselves. Understandably, most do not want to be marketers; many have a downright aversion to this crucial activity. And many will fail - not because of their product, but because of failure to promote it effectively. This book can help to change that.

Financial Accounting Financial Accounting
$223.98

Libby/Libby/Short wrote this text based on their belief that the subject of financial accounting is inherently interesting, but financial accounting textbooks are often not. They believe most financial accounting textbooks fail to demonstrate that accounting is an exciting field of study and one that is important to future careers in business. When writing this text, they considered "career relevance" as their guide when selecting material, and the need to "engage the student" as their guide to style, pedagogy, and design. Libby/Libby/Short is the only financial accounting text to successfully implement a real-world, single focus company approach in every chapter. Students and instructors have responded very favorably to the use of focus companies and the real-world financial statements. The companies chosen are engaging and the decision-making focus shows the relevance of financial accounting regardless of whether or not the student has chosen to major in accounting.
