Do What It Takes to be a Power Blogger: More Money, More Traffic, Bigger Business!

By Tony Alverio

One online job a lot of people want to do is to be a paid blogger. Paid bloggers, or money-making-online bloggers, can earn a lot of money by just writing a few good things about a certain niche. But not all MMO bloggers succeed in this kind of business, mind you. Why? Because they become so obsessed with the money making part they tend to forget that it’s not all about making money. And what do I mean by that? Here are a few things to keep in mind:

Know more about your target market

As a power blogger, you must have the foresight in knowing both your present clients and your potential niche clients. When you write articles, you should be able to provide not only adequate information, but address your entries to the people you intend to read your work. Be informative while at the same time inviting. Through this you can find short cuts towards where the real consumers can be found.

Knowing your advertiser demographics is important because you will know what kind of ads and marketing strategies to use once you start doing business. You will put the right ads at the right places, use the appropriate language, and make your business sell!

Know your limits

Most MMO bloggers tend to think differently; they try to go out of the box in order to catch attention. But that doesn’t always sell. You, as a power blogger, should know your limits and capacities so that you know which advertisers to accommodate, how many, are they, and which ones should you drop. An overcrowded webpage full of ads is just plain annoying to readers.

Value your overhead

The investment may not seem to be that much, but for sure you have spent some money in building your blog. Be sure to get back your investment in the span of 2-4 months, otherwise all the money you’ve spent on it will just go to waste.

Write quality entries

Most of all, don’t forget the value of quality articles. The quality of your content is the basis of your blog’s success, mainly because you sell them information from your words.  Do your best to be factual, realistic and direct to the point. As much as possible, avoid flowery words which don’t really mean anything-you get to save time thinking of words to use, and at the same time you take your readers to the places they really want to go-and pay you for it.
