It is often said, “What is the use of a website if no one is going to see it?” When no one sees your website, when no one reads your sales copy, when no one buys your products, nothing else matters. Your product quality does not matter. Your product inventory does not matter. Your product delivery does not matter. In the Brick and Mortar world, this is the same as no customers coming thru the door!

Often, it is said, “the product is not important, it is the marketing that is important”. This should not be misconstrued to lessen the concern about selling quality products. This statement merely represents the reality of the importance of marketing to “let the customer know we are here!”

The marketing we are going to concern ourselves with at this time is online marketing. We are going to specifically address Internet Marketing Strategies and the Funded Marketing System. By Internet Marketing Strategies, I’m referring to different Internet Marketing methods of which there are several. I will leave it to say some are better than others and some marketing strategies are just outdated.

You have heard several times by now the thing to sell on the Internet is “tools”. The example that is often quoted is “Who made the money during the California Gold Rush? It was the store owner that sold the miners their tools”. There is a comparison between the California Gold Rush and the Internet Gold Rush. The “tool” on the Internet is the Marketing Strategy that the marketer uses to connect with their prospect. During the “mining of the Internet” during the 2009-2010 time frame, we are going to step up the level of sophistication that is due as we advanced our Internet Marketing Strategies to include the Funded Marketing System.

The Funded Marketing System represents the next step of selling tools to the miners. While you are in the process of marketing your own business or other marketing you are engaged in, you can create additional streams of income. These streams of income are from the various Internet Marketing Strategies that compose the Funded Marketing System.

The difference between the California Gold Rush and the Internet Gold Rush is that in time, we all became miners. As well as mining, we sell our tools in addition and therefore develop additional streams of income. The “old way” (only 3-4 years ago) of creating additional streams of income from selling the tools was by selling these tools separately. The “new way” of selling the tools is by combining them in a package and marketing that package. Once they are on your list, it is up to you to stay connected to them and let them know who you are. By developing this relationship over time, the people on your list become your friend and they trust you. When you find something new and decide to introduce it to your list, they already have a relationship with you and therefore may join you.
“THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST!” How many times have we heard that and not taken action? It is so easy today to be completely busy and get nothing done. At the end of the day, you can say to yourself, “At least I tried!”

The fallacy of this statement is we “TRIED” to do what was comfortable not necessarily “what we needed to do!” I had to own up to this statement because like you, I heard: “THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST!” But, I did nothing to start that list!
