Archive for E-mail Marketing

I am such a busy person. And because of my hectic schedule, I no longer get to read the papers everyday, which is not a good thing because I need to keep myself updated with today’s news especially when it comes to business. Good thing I signed up with a free daily subscription at the Washington Post-and every now and then I get news bits which I receive through my email. Thus, reading the news has been a part this time of my email check, and no longer of my breakfast meals.

I appreciate it when WashingtonPost.com delivers my daily dose of today’s current events, as even I no longer get to read my morning paper, I still am in the know with the latest in the world of politics and business. Thus I know how to plan my moves for my online businesses, and not be left out in the rat race.

With the daily email alerts, I realized one important thing: e-mail marketing is truly important.

Before, I used to hate emails from businesses that advertise their business mainly because their mails look and sound spammy. But with the right content and writing style, I now think that email marketing can be a highly effective way of promoting your business towards your target market. But how can you make an effective email marketing scheme?

Here are some of my tips:

1.       Write the email in a highly informative manner. Provide the facts, the information your target needs in order to learn more about your business. Remember that those who have the power to invest in your business are those who read, so better give them the knowledge that they want.

2.       Highlight the benefits of your products and services. This way your audiences would be able to remember what they can get from your business, and be able to decide whether to be your customers or not.

3.       Relate your email with today’s current issues. Make it a point to associate your business with a present issue that’s related to your niche. By doing this you market your product as a present necessity which has to be purchased. Remember that the most important time in your business is “now.”

4.       Do not sound to “selling.” Readers hate “selling” articles. They would only delete your email or market it as spam if you sound so traditional. Do your best to be informative and credible. That way you’ll not only build partnership, but a partnership out of trust.
